I can't help laughing my ass off whenever I hear it. Nice metal sounds, and then a bunch of guys who can't sing trying to sing really, really fast and desperately trying to sound scary. *giggles* Strip out the instruments and you have bad creature sound-effects for a B-horror movie.
I mention this because, while Googling for a sword & sorcery magazine, I came across some lyrics I really grooved on, from a band called Bal-Sagoth. Then I tried to listen to their music when I found out they were a Lovecraft/Howard-inspired band. I kept cracking up.
Death metal is like what I imagine The Muppets Do Metal would be, with Animal (on helium) as the lead singer.
