Well, I won't be watching American Idol any longer this year.

I am impressed with only a couple of the contestants, and one of them was just sent home, so I have no real reason to continue watching. It isn't just that, however, because I've continued watching in previous years despite favorites going to the wayside.

Honestly, it just hasn't been all that great this year. It hasn't inspired me to watch every week, or even really care about the performers. They're all a bit bland to varying degrees.

Also endemic of the nature of this season is popular pretty-boy Sanjia, who remains despite his mediocre singing. While I will admit he has improved over the last few weeks, as bad as he was doing, as mediocre as he is, he shouldn't have lasted as long as he has, but has stayed quite safely in the running.

Given the season's lackluster and forgettable performance, I don't think I'll bother, and just wait for next year.

2008?! WTF?! DAAAAAAMN YOUUUUUUUU, SCI-FI CHANNEL!!! NOOOOOOOOOOOO!!

Seriously, what's up with that?
